"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

... so I was always afraid to have a Deviant Art account, because I thought "Nobody is interested in what I do". But so many people I like/love have an deviant art account and somehow my aversion was just worn away by time. And then my husband said "You really should make a deviant art account! and well - this is it.
